FAQ
Questions.
Can I do this in a home garage?
Yes. You have to get the car in the air to drop the transmission out, but you do not need a lift — a jack and stands is enough. Space and patience matter more than equipment.
What tools do I need?
Every kit ships with instructions that list the tools for that specific build. Nothing exotic, but read the list before you start rather than halfway through.
What is not in the kit?
Fluid. That is the only thing you have to buy separately.
Do I need a tune afterwards?
No. A tune is not necessary — the build stands on its own. If you already run a tuner, that is fine, but nothing in the kit depends on one.
What is the break-in procedure?
200 miles of normal driving under 50% throttle, then reset the adaptation values. It matters more than people expect — skipping it is the most common way a good build gets off to a bad start.
Can I return a kit if I have opened it?
Returns are within 14 days, unused and in the original packaging, and there is a 20% restocking fee. Email brian@applied-torque-solutions.com before shipping anything back — returns sent without authorisation are not accepted.
Which kit fits my transmission?
Start with the vehicle selector — year, make and model — and it will point you at the right transmission family.
